How NFL Draft betting works
Legal online sportsbooks offer several options for betting on the NFL Draft. The most popular is typically on which player will be the top overall pick. Right now, Carson Beck is the favorite to be the top choice. Betting odds come out well in advance of the event and continue to evolve as the draft process plays out. Here’s what the current odds look like for the favorites to go first overall:
- Georgia QB Carson Beck: Carson Beck +9500 on FanDuel
- Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders: Shedeur Sanders +120 on DraftKings
- Tennessee DE James Pearce Jr.: James Pearce Jr. +4200 on FanDuel
As an example, if you placed a $100 bet on Daniels at odds of +10000 and that proved to be correct, you’d receive back $10,000 in winnings. Beyond betting on the first choice, other NFL Draft bets include the following:
- First QB selected
- First non-QB selected
- The first player drafted for each position
- Players to be selected second, third, etc.
- Last overall selection
Note that the exact offerings may vary by state. After following the above steps to sign up at an online sportsbook, click the NFL tab to browse the available options and latest betting odds.
