Formula One racing is gaining popularity across the globe, and US sportsbooks are offering more action on those races in states where online sports betting is legal. The FIA Formula One World Championship is the headline series, with grand prix races happening throughout the year.

Comparing the top Formula One betting sites

We’ve evaluated the online sportsbooks below based on the options they offer for betting on F1 races, ease of use, racing-related boosts and promos, and other key factors. For additional information, check out our F1 betting guide.

Caesars Sportsbook

Most online sports betting sites show F1 racing in a subset, with Caesars listing it under auto and offering some crossover parlays between F1 and NASCAR results. For example, the book offers a quick parlay to back F1 titan Max Verstappen to win the Spanish Grand Prix along with Daniel Suarez to win the NASCAR USA Today 301. For individual F1 races, the book offers a variety of bets such as outright winner, podium finish, winning margin, team props, and head-to-head driver bets. Caesars Sportsbook also has odds on qualifying and practice laps.

Because Verstappen has been so dominant in F1 racing, books that offer a line on “winner without” his team or Verstappen himself open the door for more action, and Caesars even offers futures without Verstappen or his Red Bull team. That opens the field and adjusts the odds of other drivers with a better chance to finish second in individual races or the F1 championship.

Bet365 Sportsbook

The bet365 interface makes it easy to navigate all the available F1 bets. Outright winner and fastest qualifier, the most popular bets, appear up top, and users can click the tabs below to find more specific bets. Therefore, bet365 might be the best book for bettors looking for a simple layout with some boosted bets.

The book offers a number of boosted parlays for each upcoming grand prix. Examples include taking three drivers to finish in the top six or taking a favorite like Verstappen to win qualifying, win the race, and record the fastest lap. The book also offers futures on upcoming races and on the Formula One Drivers Championship

BetMGM Sportsbook

BetMGM divides wagers on F1 between upcoming races and futures, which it might list as world championships. The book is one of the best options for team props on F1 races, with each team listed below individual drivers as potential outright winners.

The book also has boosted propositions for most grand prix races that vary from top six finish parlays to head-to-head bets involving individual drivers or teams. While it might not be easy to craft your own parlays at BetMGM compared to other books, these sponsored parlays offer boosted odds

BetRivers Sportsbook

BetRivers is leaning into Max Verstappen’s dominance by offering a slew of special bets related to his performance. Ahead of a grand prix, the book will offer propositions on Verstappen winning all three practice laps, the margin for his qualification win, or achieving the rare grand slam (win qualification, fastest lap, lead all laps, and win race). These specials offer longer odds than a typical bet for a consistent favorite to be the outright winner. BetRivers might be the best book for offering specials on F1 racing, with unique wagers on teams and several drivers besides Verstappen.

You’ll also find bets on Formula Two racing at BetRivers, including outright winner and head-to-head bets. F2 racing involves cars with less horsepower than F1 racing, and it has a similar championship series and grand prix schedule.

FanDuel Sportsbook

Formula One appears under the motorsport tab at FanDuel, which offers an easy option to parlay different wagers on a user-friendly platform. Outright winner lines appear up top, followed by more specific bets and propositions, including bets on how many drivers will be classified (completing 90% or more of the race distance).

FanDuel also has prebuilt parlays for a driver to win the race and post the fastest lap, offering better odds than simply picking the outright winner. Bets on the winning margin are not specific to drivers, and the book can offer positive odds on the top two drivers to finish within five seconds of each other. FanDuel is one of the best sportsbooks for crafting relatively simple F1 racing parlays

DraftKings Sportsbook

At DraftKings, Formula One races and F1 futures are both available under the motorsports tab. The book offers a wide range of options, with the default set to the outright winner of an upcoming race, but there are tabs to scroll through odds on qualification, practice, and other propositions.

DraftKings frequently offers outright winner odds without Verstappen, making it one of the best books for betting on other F1 drivers beyond the usual favorite. DraftKings is also one of the premier platforms for live betting on F1 races.

How to choose an F1 betting site

Sportsbook promos and bonuses

Signing up at any of the above options will qualify customers for a welcome bonus and access to additional sportsbook promos. These bonuses might become available gradually based on the amount you wager, so sticking with a book might help generate more bonus bets or funds to deploy. On the other hand, having access to multiple sportsbooks can be advantageous from a handicapping perspective.

Formula One betting options

Before picking a book, or a few books, to use for F1 betting, consider which markets are available at that sportsbook. You should be able to find examples online ahead of key grand prix races. The most popular F1 bet is the outright winner of each race, but with Verstappen cleaning up each year, such a wager might not generate much value. So, a site like DraftKings that offers top 10, top six, and podium finish bets could provide far more reasonable options for straight bets and parlays.

Formula One odds pricing

Creating accounts at multiple sportsbooks can help inform bettors by showing market movement and valuation. Sometimes oddsmakers will show a slight discrepancy in how they evaluate a driver, creating an opportunity to capitalize on different odds by shopping around for the best line. These discrepancies can also inform decisions on prop bets, head-to-head bets, and other wagers.

Payout speed

When bettors are successful, they want to be able to withdraw their funds in an efficient manner. The speed of payouts is a key aspect to consider when choosing a sportsbook. Online reviews and the payout policy that each site lists can help inform that decision.

Formula One betting sites FAQ

How many drivers are in an F1 race?

Each F1 race includes 20 drivers from 10 sponsored teams, so two drivers can work together.

What is the difference between Formula One qualifying and practice?

Before a race, drivers get the opportunity for a couple of practice laps to get familiar with the track. Then each driver races a qualifying session to determine the order of the race, with the first qualifier receiving “pole position” which is the most advantageous starting position.

What are bets on the safety car?

A safety car will appear on the track if there is a crash or another emergency situation. Books may offer a yes or no prop bet on that situation occurring during a given race.

How do the Formula One Championships work?

A point system at each grand prix creates standings throughout the year for the drivers and teams (or constructors), with each season ending in December. Verstappen and his Red Bull team have won three straight titles from 2021-23.

How often does Max Verstappen win?

Verstappen has twice won at least 10 straight races, and the Belgian-Dutch national holds multiple F1 records.
