The ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and SEC each send their champion directly into the College Football Playoff, which makes these four races the most heavily bet conference futures on the board.

Odds to Win the ACC

The ACC fields 17 football programs, a group that stretches from Boston to the Bay Area after the arrivals of the California Golden Bears, Stanford Cardinal and SMU Mustangs. The two teams with the best conference records meet in the ACC Championship Game in Charlotte.

The Clemson Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes have long been the names at the top of ACC futures boards, but recent seasons have shown how open the league can be. SMU reached the title game in its first ACC season, and the Duke Blue Devils won the 2025 championship. Expect ACC odds to move most in September, when non-conference results separate the contenders, and again in November as tiebreakers come into play.

Odds to Win the Big Ten

With 18 members, the Big Ten is the largest conference in the sport, and the additions of the Oregon Ducks, USC Trojans, UCLA Bruins and Washington Huskies turned it into a true coast-to-coast league. Its top two teams by conference record play for the title in Indianapolis.

The Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, Penn State Nittany Lions and Oregon have typically held the shortest Big Ten prices, but the Indiana Hoosiers rewrote the script by winning the 2025 conference title and the national championship. With so many teams and no divisions, the schedule draw matters, and Big Ten futures can swing sharply after a single head-to-head matchup between contenders.

Odds to Win the Big 12

The Big 12 grew to 16 teams by adding the Arizona Wildcats, Arizona State Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes and Utah Utes, and its footprint now runs from the Rocky Mountains to Florida. Its championship game, matching the top two teams in the standings, is held on Friday night of championship weekend in Arlington, Texas.

No Power Four league has been harder to predict. Arizona State won the title in 2024, and the Texas Tech Red Raiders followed in 2025, while the Kansas State Wildcats, Iowa State Cyclones, BYU Cougars and Utah have all spent time as contenders. That parity usually keeps Big 12 odds bunched together, which makes line shopping especially valuable here.

Odds to Win the SEC

The SEC reached 16 members when the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns joined, adding two more national powers to the sport’s deepest league. Like the other Power Four conferences, it sends its top two teams by league record to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta.

Group of Six Conference Odds

With the rebuilt Pac-12 back on the field, the leagues outside the Power Four are now commonly called the Group of Six: the American, Conference USA, the MAC, the Mountain West, the Pac-12 and the Sun Belt. Their title races carry longer prices and more year-to-year turnover, since one breakout quarterback or coaching hire can reshape a conference overnight. The highest-ranked team from this group also earns a guaranteed spot in the College Football Playoff.

American Conference

The American has been a reliable source of Playoff-caliber Group of Six teams. The Tulane Green Wave won the 2025 title after the Army Black Knights took the crown in 2024, and programs like the Memphis Tigers and Navy Midshipmen keep the top tier crowded, so American odds rarely feature a runaway favorite.

Conference USA

Conference USA keeps changing shape, losing the UTEP Miners to the Mountain West and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs to the Sun Belt this year. Pac-12

Boise State arrived as the reigning Mountain West champion and a recent Playoff team, which typically puts it near the top of Pac-12 futures. Sun Belt

The James Madison Dukes won the 2025 title, the App State Mountaineers and Marshall Thundering Herd remain consistent threats, and Louisiana Tech joined this season while Texas State left for the Pac-12.
