AFC North teams
The AFC North division debuted in 2002 and remains home to the same four teams. Since 2002, the Steelers have captured the most division crowns with 10. The Browns are the only one of the four squads never to have won a title over that span, and the oddsmakers have them as the least likely to do so this year.
Baltimore Ravens
Last year, the Ravens lost a Week 18 game against the Steelers in excruciating fashion on a last-second missed field goal, losing the division and missing the playoffs. However, they have made a change at the top by hiring a new head coach, Jesse Minter, and Baltimore is the preseason favorite to climb back to the top of the AFC North.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals were plagued by injuries and stumbled to a third-place finish a year ago. But hopes are high that Cincinnati will regain its form and challenge for a division title in the coming year under the lone returning AFC North head coach, Zac Taylor.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Like the Ravens, the Steelers have a new head coach in Mike McCarthy, and they are running it back one more time with future Hall of Fame QB Aaron Rodgers behind center. Most think Pittsburgh will fall shy of last year’s division title and playoff appearance, but they could prove spoilers again.
Cleveland Browns
Browns fans appear to have another hard go of it ahead of them this year following two straight last-place finishes. Questions at quarterback remain, though, like both the Ravens and Steelers, the Browns have a new head coach, Todd Monken, and renewed aspirations to improve.
