After leading the Bucs to a Super Bowl in 2021, Tom Brady scored a Wild Card win over Philadelphia and lost to the Rams in the Divisional Round in 2022. Brady led the Bucs to another NFC South title last season, and they fell 31-14, in the Wild Card round to Dallas.
The Lions had lost nine straight playoff games before beating the Rams in the Wild Card round. These franchises met in a 1997 Wild Card matchup, and Tampa Bay emerged with a 20-10 victory.
Prior to this season, the Bucs won the previous two regular-season meetings over Detroit in 2020 and 2019. Tampa averaged 541.5 yards of offense in those blowout victories.
