Player props for Falcons vs. Eagles

How Kirk Cousins could get to Over 1.5 Passing TDs

Cousins is coming off a bad game where he completed just 16 of 26 passes for 155 yards, but he did manage to throw a touchdown in that game. Here, the Falcons are 6.5-point road underdogs against an Eagles offense that consists of weapons like A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley. However, the Eagles secondary allowed 260 yards through the air on 17 catches, allowing 15.3 yards per catch. Rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell allowed five receptions on nine targets for 86 yards, while linebacker Nakobe Dean allowed two catches for 99 yards.

As a road underdog against a unit that allowed 15.3 yards per catch, Cousins is in a position to be tasked with throwing more than 26 times in Week 2.

How Kirk Cousins could miss Over 1.5 Passing TDs

The Falcons offense looked out of sync with Cousins in his first game since tearing his Achilles in Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season. While the Eagles allowed two passing touchdowns, they also had an interception and three pass breakups.

The Falcons ran zero play-action plays, and the offensive line allowed three sacks and 12 pressures.

It’s unclear if Week 1’s production was due to Cousins’s health or not.

How Saquon Barkley could get to Over 17.5 Rush Attempts

Barkley had 24 carries in Week 1 for 109 yards and two rushing touchdowns. This came with quarterback Jalen Hurts also racking up 13 carries. The only other player to get a carry was fellow running back Kenneth Gainwell, who had just one carry for two yards.

Since 2022, Barkley has averaged about 18.25 carries per game. He’s had 566 carries over his last 31 games, including Week 1 of this season.

How Saquon Barkley could miss Over 17.5 Rush Attempts

Barkley had a big night in Week 1, but Barkley missed three games last season. The Eagles are nearly a touchdown favorite, and if they have a stable lead late, Gainwell could be involved more. In 2023 with the Giants, Barkley averaged 17.6 rush attempts per game across 14 games.

Also, in Week 1, Barkley had eight carries in the fourth quarter for just 15 yards.
