Player props for Cowboys vs. Browns

How Deshaun Watson could get over 0.5 INTs

Through 12 combined games as the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in 2022 and 2023, Deshaun Watson has thrown nine interceptions, or 0.75 per outing. He’s thrown for 2,217 yards with the Browns and has completed less than 60% of his passes.

In 2023, the Cowboys averaged 0.94 interceptions per game, including two in Week 1 against the New York Giants last year.

How Deshaun Watson could get under 0.5 INTs

Watson’s 2023 season ended prematurely due to a shoulder injury. In his first start back, the Browns could aim to utilize the running game, which includes Jerome Ford, Pierre Strong Jr., and D’Onta Foreman. Ford had 204 carries for 813 yards and four touchdowns last season, averaging four yards per carry.

The Cowboys didn’t have an interception in seven of 17 games in 2023. Of the 12 games Watson has played in, he’s thrown zero interceptions in four of them.

How Jerome Ford could get to 50+ rushing yards

Watson is coming off a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023 and faces a Dallas Cowboys roster that averaged nearly one interception per game. Ford remains the starter for the Browns, with Nick Chubb set to miss some games to begin the season.

Ford averaged 47.8 yards per game in 2023 and had seven games with 50 rushing yards or more. The Cowboys allowed running backs to run for 89.17 yards per game in 2023.

How Jerome Ford could miss 50+ rushing yards

The Cowboys’ offense averaged 30.1 points per game in 2023, which led the NFL. Ford averaged 47.8 yards per game and had 10 games with fewer than 50 rushing yards.

In games where Watson started and finished, Ford posted the following numbers:
