Bengals vs. Chiefs Odds: Spread, Moneyline, & Total

In Week 2 of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals. After their Week 1 performance, the odds aren’t in the Bengals’ favor, as they’re five-point underdogs on the point spread.

Still, I’ll explore each team below and investigate how they can win, as well as a sportsbook promotion from Caesars Sportsbook.

How the Bengals could likely win the game

It’s unclear how healthy Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is following a wrist injury. A video has surfaced showing him having difficulty picking up his water bottle.

As a result, the key for the Bengals will be running the ball. Running back Zack Moss had nine carries for 44 yards and a touchdown. Fellow running back Chase Brown had three carries for 11 yards.

The Chiefs allowed 185 rushing yards to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, including 122 to quarterback Lamar Jackson, 46 to running back Derrick Henry, and more.

The Bengals lost the time of possession in Week 1, 34:03 to 25:57. If they can flip that here and run effectively, they have a chance.

How the Chiefs could potentially win the game

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 20 of 28 passes for 291 yards, one touchdown, and one pick. The running game accounted for two touchdowns, including getting wide receiver Xavier Worthy the ball on an end-around play.

Fellow wide receiver Marquise Brown is still not practicing this week, but if he’s out there, that adds another weapon for the Chiefs against the Bengals.

As for the running game, the Bengals allowed 170 yards to the New England Patriots.

The Chiefs will win if they play a game similar to Week 1 with a balance of running and throwing.
