The Colorado and Iowa sports betting markets have added another online sportsbook. Elite Sportsbook is one of the newer online books to launch in these states, and we expect more states to follow.
Elite Sportsbook came to CO thanks to a partnership with the Red Dolly Casino in Black Hawk. Online sports betting in the Centennial State has expanded quickly since its debut. After going live on May 1, 2020, CO now features 15 online options.
The sportsbook, owned by owned by Elite Casino Resorts, was the 11th online site in the market when it launched on Aug. 12, 2020.
Elite is also available in the state of Iowa, where it features a retail book at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, Rhythm City Casino in Davenport and the Grand Falls Casino, located in Larchwood.
Elite Sportsbook will most likely look to continue growing its brand by launching in other states around the US. Online sports wagering is becoming more popular and is legal in many areas of the country.
Elite Sportsbook welcome bonus
Bettors in Colorado and Iowa can take advantage of the welcome bonus provided by Elite Sportsbook. New customers are eligible to receive a new sign-up bonus that can total up to $1,000.
After creating an account with Elite and depositing funds, you will get a 50% match on your first five bets, up to $200 per wager.
This means that you will be refunded up to as much as $200 for each of your first five wagers placed with the sportsbook. Bettors will receive a credit worth exactly 50% of their first five bets in the form of a bonus bet.
The bonus will appear in your account after placing the qualifying wager.
The ability to earn up to $1,000 in bonuses is among the most for a mobile platform in any market. Additionally, with five bonus bets, you’re able to utilize the insurance in five separate wagers as opposed to just one.
Elite’s Iowa sportsbook has a slightly different welcome offer. Instead of several smaller bonus wagers, bettors in the Hawkeye State are eligible for one larger option.
New customers placing their first bet with the online sportsbook will have this initial bet refunded a full 100% up to $500 if it doesn’t win. Just like in Colorado, these funds will be credited to your account as a bonus bet.

Elite Sportsbook promotions
Outside of the initial welcome offer for new bettors, Elite includes plenty of other promotions on its sportsbook. These promos may differ in the details based on which state you’re located in, but they each feature very similar deals.
Residents in Iowa had the ability to place a season-long progressive parlay involving the University of Iowa football team. With this deal, Elite customers in Iowa could have placed an eight-team parlay where they could lose up to two legs and still earn a win.
The online sportsbook even provides another parlay promo with the same type of rules. You can wager on any football or basketball spreads and still be a winner even with one loss in a four-leg parlay.
Depending on the amount of selections in your parlay, Elite will allow more exceptions. You’re afforded one loss on a parlay of four to six legs, two losses for seven to nine legs and three losses for 10 to 12 legs.
As an additional promotion, with Elite’s Iowa Always Wins, you can earn up to $25 in bonus bets, even if Iowa loses its game. By wagering at least $50 on the Hawkeyes to win, Elite will award you $1 in bonus bets for every point the team scores if it doesn’t come out victorious.
An additional promo at Elite’s Iowa book is its Sweetheart Teaser. Any customers who place at least $5 on their first Sweetheart Teaser earn a $5 bonus bet.
Elite’s special teasers are offered for both football and basketball. Football teams will get 10 points toward their point spread, while basketball lines will move seven points, with -125 odds applied.
The Colorado sportsbook has many of the same promos in place.
Instead of Iowa football, the season-long parlay is based around the Denver Broncos. Elite CO also has the exact same deals for its regular progressive parlay, as well as the Sweetheart Teaser.
One promotion that is different is the Twitter Picker of the Week. Elite Sportsbook is giving out up to $100 in bonus bets in a contest on Twitter.
If you can pick more NFL winners than Altitude Radio’s Joshua Dover after entering the promo, you could win up to $100 in credit each regular season week, along with winning a bonus Elite Sportsbook hat.
Bettors should expect the online sportsbook to continue to roll out new promos, especially when new sports seasons kick off.
Is Elite Sportsbook legal?
Elite Sportsbook is legal and available to use in the Colorado and Iowa sports betting markets.
The online sportsbook launched in Iowa first. It has a partnership and retail sportsbook in place with several establishments in the state: the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, Rhythm City Casino in Davenport, and the Grand Falls Casino, located in Larchwood.
Elite expanded to CO in August 2020. It launched in the Centennial State thanks to a deal with the Red Dolly Casino in Black Hawk.
Creating an account at Elite online sportsbook
Joining the online sportsbook couldn’t be much easier. For those who are eligible to bet, creating an account takes only a few minutes. To get started, you’ll need to input some basic personal information. This includes:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Home address
- Phone number
- Social Security number
Elite Sportsbook will also have you create a username and password you’ll use to gain access to the book. After you submit a few security questions, you’ll be almost ready to start betting.
New customers must agree to Elite’s terms and conditions, along with confirming they’re of legal age to place sports bets. In both Colorado and Iowa, you must be at least 21 or older.
Registration eligibility at Elite Sportsbook
There are a couple of eligibility requirements for those looking to utilize the Elite Sportsbook. Like with all online betting platforms, you must be of legal betting age and located in a state where the Elite is offered.
Those in Colorado and Iowa must be at least 21 in order to use the online sportsbook. While the majority of the US has the same legal age set, there are some places where you only have to be 18. If Elite Sportsbook launches in any of those locations, then bettors over 18 can download the sportsbook, too.
The other main condition is that you are physically located inside the state where Elite is legal. The online betting app uses geolocation technology to determine exactly where you’re located at the time of using the book.
Currently, you can only use Elite while in Colorado or Iowa. However, this could expand if the online sportsbook goes live in other states in the future.
Most residents can bet on sports, but there are a few people who aren’t permitted because of their professions. Individuals who can impact a sporting event — such as athletes, coaches, officials and trainers — can’t use Elite Sportsbook. Key casino employees cannot wager on sports, either.
Using the Elite Sportsbook app
At this moment, there is not an Elite Sportsbook app available for download. You can only access the online sportsbook through a web browser on your computer or mobile device. Although you’re still able to bet on the go with Elite, a lot of people prefer the convenience of the app.
As Elite intends to compete in the Colorado and Iowa markets, it will probably release an app sometime in the near future. When an app comes out, Elite would be wise to provide it to as many potential customers as possible. This would probably mean an app for both Apple and Android devices.
To download such an app when it becomes available, follow our links to the Elite website and download from there.
Elite Sportsbook withdrawal and deposit methods
Currently, Elite Sportsbook only provides a few ways for customers to conduct banking transactions on its book. Customers can deposit funds onto their account in the following ways:
- Elite Play+ prepaid card
- Cash at the retail casino cage
Bettors will need to fund their Play+ account prior to moving the money onto the sportsbook. You can use either a bank account or PayPal to do so.
Customers of Elite Sportsbook Iowa can use the cashier at any of these locations:
- Riverside Casino & Golf Resort
- Rhythm City Casino Resort
- Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort
Elite Sportsbook Colorado players can do the same at the Red Dolly Casino in Black Hawk.
Customers are able to withdraw their winnings in the same methods provided. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Elite Sportsbook expand its banking offerings going forward to make things convenient for as many people as possible.
What kind of bets can you make at Elite Sportsbook?
While Elite could use a few more options for moving money, it has more than enough ways to place a wager. Elite Sportsbook users can bet on sports in the following ways:
- Moneyline
- Parlay
- Teaser
- Round robin
- Live betting
- Props
- Futures
- Point spread
- Totals
With such a wide variety of betting types, customers of all experiences are able to find what they’re looking for with Elite Sportsbook.
Live betting
Live betting, also called in-game betting, is becoming more popular thanks to online sports betting. Since bettors can now access sportsbooks right on their mobile devices within seconds, they’re able to wager on updated odds throughout the game.
With live betting, Elite Sportsbook and other online operators provide new betting lines over the course of an entire sporting event. Based on the play happening in real time, the online sportsbook will update its odds to reflect what’s actually happening.
This is great for bettors because they’re given a lot more freedom now. Instead of needing to place the bet prior to a game starting, you can basically put some action down whenever you’d like.
Many actually choose to wait to see how a game begins before betting. This way, they’re able to see how a team is performing, rather than committing to a wager before they pregame.
Elite Sportsbook includes live betting for many of the games and sports it lists on its sportsbook. Besides having the opportunity to bet on common lines like the updated point spread, moneyline or total, Elite gives lots of other options. You can wager on alternates for the standard odds, as well as game, team and player props.
Early cash-out
Another feature Elite Sportsbook users can take advantage of is the ability to cash out of an existing bet early. With the early cash-out tool, you can decide to finalize a bet you have that is still pending. By doing so, you can guarantee yourself at least some potential winnings.
On the other hand, you can also cash out a bet early that appears as if it’s going to lose. As opposed to losing the entirety of your wager, you can have the chance to cut your losses short by ending the bet ahead of time.
This is available for most moneyline, spread or total bets.
What sports can you bet on at Elite Sportsbook?
Elite Sportsbook gives its customers a lot of betting markets to put action down on. Right now, you can wager on any of the following options:
- Football
- Baseball
- Basketball
- Soccer
- MMA
- Hockey
- Golf
- Tennis
- Auto racing
- Boxing
Each of these markets includes the most popular leagues in both professional and college sports.
Elite Sportsbook states
With online sports betting continuing to expand, it’s quite possible that Elite decides to go live in other areas of the country. Currently, these states have legal, regulated industries set up:
- Arkansas
- Colorado
- Delaware
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Michigan
- Mississippi
- Montana
- Nevada
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New York
- Oregon
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Tennessee
- West Virginia
A couple of others are close to joining them. The following have legalized sports betting and should have markets in place soon:
- Virginia
- North Carolina
If Elite Sportsbook finds success in Colorado and Iowa, it will likely debut in other states, as well.
