You can also choose whether you want your entry “insured” or “all-in,” depending on how you want to play. Alternatively, you can select the “Free2Play” option and make picks for fun.

User interface

The ParlayPlay iOS and Android app has a simple and intuitive user interface, though the app is not as sleek as some of its competitors. Rather than opt for an information-dense layout packed with features, ParlayPlay is relatively bare-bones, with large icons to display picks, a carousel-style sports menu, and a bottom toolbar that lets you navigate between different game modes (Hit It, Free2Play, Pick’M), and different sections of the app.

While the ParlayPlay app may strike some DFS veterans as a little simple, it is undoubtedly easy to navigate and beginner-friendly. The sports carousel will let you view the picks available in different leagues and scroll through the available players. Clicking a player will show you all of that person’s eligible stats, with an up arrow for “more” and a down arrow for “less.”

Each “more” or “less” arrow will display next to a numerical value, which is the payout multiplier for that selection. For example, Jayson Tatum to score more than 25.5 points could have a multiplier of 1.58x. If you add this selection to your ParlayPlay entry, that multiplier will apply to the total ticket. Keep adding picks until you’re ready to make your wager. Then, just enter an entry fee, select “insured” or “all in,” and click “place.”  

It’s also straightforward to access your account details, deposit or withdraw money, and access loyalty features via the ParlayPlay Club. To access your account settings, click the button in the top-right corner of the app, which will take you to your account management page.

For example, let’s say you want to put together a Pick’M entry based on a number of upcoming NBA and NHL games. You add the following legs to your Pick’M entry:

• Victor Wembanyama (NBA) more than 22.5 points (1.83x multiplier)
• Devin Booker (NBA) more than 6.5 assists (1.92x multiplier)
• Nikola Jokic (NBA) less than 12.5 rebounds (2.02x multiplier)
• Anze Kopitar (NHL) more than 0.5 goals (3.21x multiplier)
• Elias Pettersson (NHL) more than 1.8 shots on goal (1.8x multiplier)

ParlayPlay sets the minimum entry fee (i.e. stake) for this entry at $1, and the maximum at $40. The total multiplier is 37.01x, which means a $10 entry fee on an “All In” entry would stand to return $370.10 if you were to get all five picks correct. If you wanted to pursue a lower-risk strategy, you could select the “Insured” option, which would pay out $211.20 for five correct picks or $31.80 if you were to get four out of five right.

Once you have determined your desired entry fee and selected “All In” or “Insured,” click “Place” to confirm your entry. You can then keep tabs on your entries as results come in by clicking on “Track Picks.”

Hit It contests

A second type of contest available at ParlayPlay is the “Hit It” contest. In these, you select two players from a given sporting event and set a stat or point range that you think they will fall within in that game (for instance, Nikola Jokic to get between 21 and 26 points). Depending on how accurate your predictions are, you can receive a payout of up to 6x your entry fee.

The payout structure for Hit It contests is as follows: If your stat range is correct for two out of two players, you’ll get a payout of 6x your entry fee. If your stat range is correct for one out of two, you’ll earn a payout of 2x your entry fee. If neither is correct, you get nothing.

Free2Play contests
