If we give the app the same run through, we find that users in Pennsylvania have it rated at 3.1 stars.

Over in Illinois, it’s a 3.4 rating out of five possible stars.

To BetRivers’ credit, company reps are responsive in forums. There are complaints about the app’s performance on Android, but many negative marks are for things that are out of the company’s control, such as the registration process in Illinois.

Overall consensus: The average rating for BetRivers’ various apps is around three stars out of five. Several of the complaints were specifically about the performance of the app.

BetRivers platform review

As you can see from the Apple and Google reviews, BetRivers has some work to do with app performance. The fact that there are separate apps for each state makes it a little challenging, but the company seems to be doing a solid job of addressing user concerns.

The sportsbook website offers a better experience. There are plenty of clear links and clean menus. You can find and perform all of the main functions with ease. On the downside, there’s a large news feed that takes up a good deal of space.

You can’t minimize it, either, but it doesn’t impact the functionality of the bet slip that appears on that side of the screen as you add selections. On the positive side, the game listings are clear and filled with information.

When you click on a specific game, there are separate menus for all of the main categories. The addition of stats and tips is a nice touch, and there’s even a live streaming option for some games and events.

The website works well and provides a comparable experience to what you’d find at Caesars Sportsbook or BetMGM, but it’s not quite as smooth as DraftKings or FanDuel. If BetRivers can take care of the app performance issues, the marks will be even higher.
