The Texas Longhorns will host the Georgia Bulldogs in a showdown of SEC squads at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. Per college football Week 8 odds, the Longhorns are five-point favorites.

How Quinn Ewers could get over 224.5 passing yards

Ewers has played in just four games this season, but in his first two starts — against Colorado State and Michigan — he threw for 260 yards and 246 yards. 

The next week, he had just 185 yards against UTSA but only attempted 16 passes. Overall, Ewers has played 27 college games in his career and thrown for 225 yards or more in 15 of them. 

This season, quarterbacks in the SEC are averaging 248.5 passing yards per game against Georgia. 

How Quinn Ewers could get under 224.5 passing yards

While Ewers went over this mark in his first two starts, he missed it against UTSA. In his first start back after his injury, he threw for just 199 in a 34-3 win over Oklahoma, with 29 attempts and 20 completions. 

Also, the Bulldogs are allowing only 192.3 passing yards per game this season overall. 

How Carson Beck could get over 1.5 passing TDs

This season, Beck has played in six games, and he’s thrown for two touchdowns or more in five of those six starts. 

Against the SEC, he’s averaging two passing touchdowns per game, including three against Alabama and three against Mississippi State

Beck did have one start this season without a passing touchdown at all, and that came against Kentucky. The Longhorns are one of the best pass defenses in the country, allowing just 126 yards passing per game so far this season. They’ve also only allowed one passing touchdown all season.
