Player props for Iowa vs. Ohio State

How Will Howard could get over 1.5 passing TDs

Howard has played four games this season, throwing for two touchdowns or more in three of them, including his two most recent games — against Marshall and Michigan State

The Hawkeyes have allowed six passing touchdowns this season, including two each to Minnesota and Iowa State

How Will Howard could get under 1.5 passing TDs

Iowa allowed two passing touchdowns to Minnesota, but Minnesota was trailing in that game. Iowa State was down 13-0 at halftime, and even after the two touchdowns, it was down 19-14.

We mention this because Ohio State is a massive favorite, and passing the ball may not be necessary with running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson on the team as they look to crack this Iowa defense that’s allowed just 62 rushing yards per game (fourth in the nation) to this point.

How Cade McNamara could get over 0.5 passing TDs

McNamara has completed 64 of 102 passes for 588 yards and three touchdowns this season. He had three touchdown passes in Week 1 against Illinois State. As a massive underdog against Ohio State, the Hawkeyes will likely need to throw to keep pace.

They have a fantastic running back in Kaleb Johnson, but he’ll take on a Buckeyes defense that’s slightly better than Iowa against the run, having allowed 61.8 rushing yards per game this season.

How Cade McNamara could get under 0.5 passing TDs

McNamara has been in college football since 2020. In the 30 games he’s appeared in, he’s had zero touchdown passes in 16 of them. This season, he hasn’t thrown a touchdown since Week 1.

The Buckeyes have allowed just two passing touchdowns this season and 5.5 yards per attempt.
