Updated World Series odds
American League favorites to win the World Series
Houston Astros ()
The Astros have been a mainstay in the race for a World Series title for years now, including wins in 2017 and 2022. They have a plethora of experienced players like Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, Yordan Alvarez, and Justin Verlander. Verlander is injured, but he’ll be back before too long. Houston also went out and signed star reliever Josh Hader. The team’s odds are at to win the AL West, to win the American League, and to reach the playoffs.
Baltimore Orioles ()
The Orioles are in a division with the New York Yankees, but they have youth on their side, with top prospects like Jackson Holliday waiting in the wings. This offseason, they made a splash by landing starting pitcher Corbin Burnes. The Yankees, their biggest division foe, are dealing with several injuries already. The Orioles are at to win the AL East, to win the American League, and to reach the playoffs.
National League favorites to win the World Series
Los Angeles Dodgers ()
It goes without saying, but the Dodgers are No. 1 in odds to win the World Series. Any time you add players like Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and, of course, Shohei Ohtani, it’s almost World Series or bust at that point. They’re at to win the NL West and to win the National League.
Atlanta Braves ()
The Braves will once again be in the hunt for a title thanks to their pitching depth led by Spencer Strider and Max Fried, and their offense, which had a slugging percentage of over .500 and more than 300 home runs last season. The Braves also traded for Aaron Bummer and brought back Joe Jimenez and Pierce Johnson. Atlanta has odds of to win the National League, to win the NL East, and to reach the playoffs.
