Music City Bowl betting preview

With Tagovailoa opting out, the Terrapins will likely turn to redshirt sophomore transfer Billy Edwards Jr., who arrived at Maryland last season. Since then, he’s attempted 56 passes — completing 57.1% — for 310 yards (5.5 yards per attempt), three touchdowns, and one interception.

The Tigers averaged 25.6 points, 196.3 rushing yards, and 140.5 passing yards per game this season. The rushing yards ranked 14th in the country, while the passing yards were eighth-least. In the Iron Bowl, the Tigers were one play shy of taking down the Alabama Crimson Tide.

They’ll go up against a Terrapins defense that allowed 24.8 points, 127.9 rushing yards, and 214.5 passing yards per game this season. Edwards Jr. will face the 35th-ranked defense in terms of points allowed per game (22.7) in the Tigers.
