With Daniels headed to the NFL, the Tigers appear likely to start redshirt sophomore Nussmeier in this bowl game. This season, Nussmeier has attempted 33 passes — completing 51.5% — for 195 yards and a touchdown. He’s been at LSU since 2021, completing 98 passes for 1,324 yards, eight touchdowns, and six interceptions.
With Daniels at the helm, the Tigers averaged the most points per game in college football at 44.1. The Badgers, with Tanner Mordecai under center, averaged 22.8 points per game. At the moment, it appears as though LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers will play, but that could change.
Wisconsin opponents averaged 18.9 points per game this season, and LSU allowed 29.4. Wisconsin averaged 163.1 rushing yards and 207.1 passing yards per game.
