Now the operator is expanding to the United States, starting in NJ. Tipico is entering the market through a partnership with the Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City. It also has a deal in place with the online gambling provider NetEnt.

Tipico will be joining a very busy industry in New Jersey, and this should be positive news for bettors. With Tipico joining the market late, it could be supplying customers with bonuses and promotions.  Here’s a list of currently active online sportsbooks.

While we won’t know exactly what the US version of Tipico Sportsbook will look like, we have a good idea based on its current platform.

After Tipico launches in NJ, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the online sportsbook expand elsewhere in the states. Mobile and online sports betting continues to grow in legality and popularity across the US.

Tipico New Jersey welcome offer

Most sportsbooks that have started operating in the US provide customers a welcome bonus for creating an account. With Tipico coming into a crowded market, the online sportsbook will likely have a quality offer in place.

Although the type of reward varies with every operator, these welcome bonuses help acquire new customers. Tipico will probably include at least one of these offers for creating an account with the sportsbook:

Deposit match bonus

Among the most popular welcome offers is a bonus match for your first deposit. After signing up, you’re eligible to receive a full 100% deposit match up to a specific amount on your initial deposit with the online sportsbook.

Of course, how much the bonus is depends on the operator. This offer has been as high as $500 or $1,000 in the past. So, if Tipico were to set a deposit bonus at $500, this means you could receive a total of $500 in free credit. By depositing $500 of your own money the first time, you’d have a total of $1,000 to use with the sportsbook.

Most bettors enjoy this bonus because they’re able to control exactly how much money they can get back.

Tipico’s European sportsbook currently has this bonus in place for up to €100, or about $120.

Risk-free bet

Another similar welcome deal comes in the form of a risk-free wager. Instead of providing a bonus based on your first deposit, this deal insures your initial wager with the sportsbook.

With a risk-free bet, you’re able to make your first wager knowing you will receive that amount in credit if your bet loses. This deal is available in the NJ market for up to $500 at certain operators.

This means that if you bet the maximum $500 on your first wager with the book, you would be credited $500 if that bet is unsuccessful. If you come out victorious, however, you won’t receive any bonus funds.

Although we won’t be certain what Tipico plans on doing with its NJ sportsbook until it launches, a risk-free bet would be a possible option.

Free credit

While free credit bonuses don’t typically match the amount given away with deposit bonuses or risk-free bets, they are helpful.

Most online sportsbooks that provide free credit to new customers only require that they create an account. So instead of needing to deposit funds, you’ll simply need to sign up for the betting app.

This is good for bettors because you’re able to actually place real bets before moving your own money onto your account. Of course it varies with every mobile platform, but free credit offers are usually between $10 to $20.

We’ll see if Tipico decides to utilize this bonus in order to gain some attention once it hits the market.

Tipico Sportsbook is now legal in the state of NJ; however, it has not launched in the US yet.

The online sportsbook should be going live sometime in the near future. Its American website states that Tipico will release into the NJ market this fall, aiming to get in on some NFL betting.

After it makes its US debut in the Garden State, Tipico could well continue to expand. Online sports betting is only growing more popular.

Creating an account at Tipico Sportsbook

Joining the online sportsbook should be a quick and simple process. Like with every other betting app, Tipico will need some basic personal information from all new customers. This should include:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Social Security number

Along with this, bettors must come up with a username as well as a password that they will use to access Tipico each time. Tipico may require you to fill out a couple of security questions, as well.

The only other thing you’ll need to do is agree to the sportsbook’s terms and confirm you’re of legal betting age. Age minimums differ in the US, but it is set at 21 years old in New Jersey and in a lot of states.

Registration eligibility at Tipico Sportsbook NJ

There are only a few requirements to be eligible to join Tipico Sportsbook. The two most important rules are that you are old enough to legally gamble, and that you’re physically located in the state that offers the sportsbook at the time of your wager.

When Tipico releases into the New Jersey market, you’ll need to be at least 21 years old and physically within the Garden State’s borders to use the online sportsbook.

Every mobile platform uses geolocation technology to determine where you are when using the sportsbook. If you’re not positioned inside the state, then you won’t be able to place any wagers. You do not have to be a New Jersey resident to wager.

Once Tipico debuts in other locations, you’ll be able to bet in those states, too, though the regulations could be slightly different outside of New Jersey. While the legal betting age in NJ is 21, it’s only 18 in some parts of the country. If Tipico becomes available in one of those states, then that state’s age qualifications will be in effect.

Additionally, some individuals with specific jobs are not allowed to bet with Tipico or any other online sportsbook. Those who can have a direct impact on sporting events, such as players, coaches, officials and trainers, cannot bet. Other positions such as key casino employees can’t wager with Tipico, either.

Download the Tipico app

Since Tipico already has a sports betting app developed for its European customers, it would only make sense that it releases one for Americans, too. The online sportsbook will be looking to gain as many customers as possible, so expanding how bettors can access the sportsbook is crucial.

Similar to the best options already available in the US, Tipico will probably allow you to bet through the app or its website. Usually, the sportsbook is nearly identical between the two platforms.

Tipico already provides its European sportsbook to both Apple and Android users. Bettors in the US should expect to see the same.

Apple customers can follow our link to download the sportsbook right through the App Store. Those with Android devices, however, must download Tipico directly from the sportsbook’s website since Google Play doesn’t carry gambling apps.

Promotions

Besides any welcome offers, Tipico is likely to give customers daily and weekly promotions. The best sportsbooks in the US consistently roll out new promos to help engage and reward customers.

Most times, these deals are based around the most popular sports and events taking place at that time of year. Online sportsbooks will provide a variety of promos for specific games and sports.

Just like with the welcome bonuses, Tipico can ease its transition into the US by consistently rewarding customers. In fact, the online sportsbook already has something in place for its future bettors in New Jersey.

On Tipico’s US website, it already invites new customers to sign up for its NJ waitlist. By doing so, you’ll unlock an exclusive offer, as well as get early access to Tipico’s “cutting edge mobile sports betting experience.”

Depositing and withdrawing at Tipico

Banking is another area where Tipico is likely to give its new US customers lots of options. Since its sportsbook in Europe features more than enough ways to transfer money, there’s no reason to think its NJ sportsbook will be any different.

Some banking methods that US bettors should expect to have access to include:

  • ACH/e-check
  • Online bank transfer
  • Credit card — Mastercard or Visa
  • PayPal
  • Prepaid card
  • PayNearMe
  • Skrill
  • Neteller

Customers will have the ability to deposit and withdraw funds in a lot of similar ways. Although these might not be the exact options Tipico goes with, it’s probable that there are several from the above list available to you.

The online sportsbook lists 10 banking options at its European book right now. Another withdrawal method not listed could also be the ability to receive your winnings through a check by mail.

What kind of bets can you make at Tipico?

Tipico Sportsbook should continue to feature a wide selection of betting types to choose from. The best online sportsbooks all feature lots of options so that bettors of all levels can find something for them. Those in New Jersey will most likely see the following betting options from Tipico:

  • Moneylines
  • Point spreads
  • Totals (over/under)
  • Parlays
  • Teasers
  • Round robins
  • Live bets
  • Props
  • Futures

By providing so many ways to bet on games, Tipico could appeal to the majority of bettors. We’ll know exactly which betting types are available once the sportsbook debuts in the US.

One tool that should carry over from the European sportsbook is the ability to cash out before a game ends. You can choose to secure some or most of your winnings by finalizing what appears to be a winning wager. On the other hand, you can also end a potential losing bet early in order to cut some of your losses.

This can be a useful function on an online sportsbook. Allowing customers to cash out could increase Tipico’s odds of success in NJ.

Live betting

Live, in-game betting is likely to be one of the most popular betting types with Tipico. The expansion of online and mobile sports betting apps has made live wagering much more common in Europe and the US.

With most bettors having a sportsbook available through an app, live bets are placed all the time now.

Live wagering allows for more freedom, as you’re not limited to placing a bet only before a game starts. Instead, you can wait and bet whenever you want, for the most part.

A lot of bettors actually choose to wait for certain games to begin before wagering. This way, you can see exactly how a sporting event actually starts prior to committing any of your money on it.

Since Tipico already has experience in live betting markets, it likely will launch in NJ with an expansive offering.

The best sportsbook apps have live odds for almost every sport and game. Outside of lines for common odds like point spreads, moneylines and totals, live wagering can be much more thorough.

Options can include multiple alternates to each of the standard lines, as well as player and game props.

What sports can you bet on at Tipico sportsbook?

An additional area where Tipico shouldn’t disappoint is with a variety of the most popular betting markets. Its European customers have already seen the range of sporting events to wager on, and its US book likely will be very similar.

New Jersey residents will most likely have the option to bet on all of the following markets:

  • Football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • MMA
  • Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Cycling
  • Golf
  • Motor sports
  • Boxing
  • Darts
  • Rugby
  • Table tennis
  • Cricket
  • Australian rules football

Tipico sportsbook states

Right now, the following locations have regulated, legal sports betting markets:

A few others are close to being added. The following states have legal sports wagering and could go live in 2020 and early 2021:

Regardless of how well Tipico does in NJ, look for the online sportsbook to launch in other parts of the US very soon.
