Minnesota Vikings at Buffalo Bills
The Vikings extended their winning streak to six games with a win over the Commanders. Now 7-1, the club is in complete control of the NFC North chase. The Bills were stunned by the Jets to fall to 6-2. In a season that has been filled with big upsets, this is one of the biggest to date as Buffalo walked onto the field as 10.5-point favorites. The misstep aside, this is a potential big game preview between two of the top favorites in Super Bowl futures.
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
The Lions put forth their best defensive effort of the season in a 15-9 upset over the Packers. The victory snapped a five-game losing streak and brought the record to 2-6. They’ll look to keep the momentum going at the NFC North rival Bears. Chicago fell to 3-6 with a 35-32 loss to the Dolphins. Justin Fields set an NFL record in the loss by rushing for 178 yards, the most ever by a QB in a regular season game.
Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans
The Broncos return from a bye week with a record of 3-5. The club entered the season with postseason aspirations following the trade for Russell Wilson, but they now find themselves with plenty of ground to make up. They’ll be on the road to take on a Titans team that brings a five-game winning streak into Sunday night’s game with the Chiefs. Derrick Henry is back in the hunt for a rushing yard title following a stellar stretch of games.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs
The Jaguars snapped a five-game losing streak with a 27-20 win over the Raiders. The team opened the year with some promise at 2-1, but they’ve fallen to 3-6 and have plenty of work to do if they hope to be in the AFC playoff chase. The Chiefs are 5-2 as they head into the SNF date with Tennessee. The club is currently tops in the league with an average of 31.9 points per game, while Patrick Mahomes is among the favorites in MVP odds.
Cleveland Browns at Miami Dolphins
The Browns are back from a bye with a record of 3-5. They managed to enter the break on a high note with a convincing win over the Bengals. Jacoby Brissett remains under center. Deshaun Watson is eligible to begin practicing next week and will likely take over in early December. Cleveland is on the road to take on a Dolphins team that has won three straight to get to 6-3. New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers
The Saints are in the Monday night spotlight for a home date with the Ravens. Last time out, the club delivered its best game of the year with a surprising shutout over the visiting Raiders. The club is in the mix of contenders in the AFC wild card chase, but a pair of double-digit home losses to the Jaguars and Seahawks serve as red flags. The 49ers are 4-4 out of a bye, but the arrow is pointing up. They entered the break off of a double-digit win over the Rams behind a 3-TD day from Christian McCaffrey.
Washington Commanders at Philadelphia Eagles
The week concludes with a Monday Night Football matchup between two NFC East rivals. The Commanders lost at home to the Vikings on Sunday to fall to 4-5, snapping a three-game winning streak in the process.
