AFC South teams
The AFC South division was created in 2002 and has had the same four teams since its inception. The Indianapolis Colts lead the way with nine division titles since then. Indianapolis also holds the longest active drought, last winning the crown in 2014.
Houston Texans
The Texans won the AFC South last season with a record of 10-7. The club kicked off this season with a 29-27 road win over the Colts. On the NFL Week 2 schedule, Houston is hosting the Bears on Sunday Night Football. The Texans have won seven division titles since 2002.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars finished second in the division last season at 9-8. They’ve won the AFC South just twice since 2002, in 2017 and 2022. Jacksonville opened its campaign with a 20-17 road loss to the Dolphins. The club will be home this week to take on the Browns.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts finished in third place a season ago, going 9-8 overall. Indianapolis has the most AFC South titles since 2002 with nine. The team’s last such crown came in 2014. The Colts opened their season with a loss to the Texans and now travel to face the Packers.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans went 6-11 a season ago to finish last in the AFC South. Tennessee has won four division titles since 2002, with the last coming in 2022. The club lost a 24-17 road decision to the Bears in Week 1 and will welcome the Jets this week.
