Iowa sports betting launch date

Iowa launched both retail and mobile sports betting on August 15, 2019. Retail and mobile sportsbooks started on the first day and will offer a traditional sports betting experience.

You will be able to download an app to your smartphone or tablet and make sports wagers from your device. Some casinos could launch mobile Iowa sports betting in August, while more are certainly expected by September.

Sports bettors will have to go to the corresponding casino to sign up for an app through the start of 2021, however, per the new law.
