SuperDraft is legal in a number of states, but it is not available in some states that restrict paid daily fantasy sports platforms.

Some states allow SuperDraft to operate as a game of skill under a carveout in the the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Some states, however, have a different interpretation and impose additional restrictions on DFS sites. These restrictions have been changing rapidly in recent years as sports betting and DFS platforms continue to grow.

See below for a full overview of the states where SuperDraft is and is not legal.

States where SuperDraft is available

The following states allow people of legal age who are within their borders to play daily fantasy sports: Wyoming, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Vermont, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Tennessee, South Dakota, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Oregon, Oklahoma, Ohio, New York, New Mexico, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nebraska, North Dakota, North Carolina, Mississippi, Missouri, Minnesota, Maryland, Massachusetts, Maine, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, Connecticut, Colorado, California, Arizona, Arkansas, and Alaska.

States where SuperDraft is unavailable

As state laws currently stand, daily fantasy sports sites like SuperDraft are not legal in: Alabama, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

SuperDraft fantasy review

Owned in part by Caesars Entertainment, SuperDraft is a fantasy sports platform that offers a variety of game modes. In particular, it has multiplier contests, which abandon the standard salary-cap model in favor of a less predictable format.

In SuperDraft’s multiplier contests, each player is assigned a multiplier, which will be applied to their points after the game. This adds another dimension to the game, since a player’s predicted points must be weighed alongside their unique multiplier. SuperDraft also offers game modes like salary cap, champion mode, and super 15.

In addition, you’ll find more than daily games at SuperDraft. There are contests that span a week, and even season-long offerings via best ball contests. Let’s take a closer look at SuperDraft Fantasy.

User interface

SuperDraft has developed a simple, easy-to-use interface that is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. The SuperDraft app allows you to easily switch between game modes, and entering contests generally takes just a few clicks.

The SuperDraft app has an average rating of 4.4/5 on the App Store and 4/5 on Google Play, with most users expressing their satisfaction with the app and especially the multiplier game mode. Some Android users have reported minor issues with the formatting and display, but these appear relatively isolated.

Overall, the SuperDraft interface is not quite as sleek as some of the other major DFS platforms, but it is highly functional, thanks to a straightforward layout, intuitive navigation, and fast update speeds.

Customer service

While SuperDraft customer support workers are attentive and helpful, this is one area in which SuperDraft could stand to improve overall.

To get in touch with a customer service representative at SuperDraft, you will need to submit a form on its website, which you can do under “Contact Us.” Then, a customer support agent will reach out to you by email with an answer to your question. Keep in mind that support hours are from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. ET on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET on weekends.

While turnaround times on customer support tickets are relatively quick, the restricted hours and lack of a live chat or customer support phone number means SuperDraft lags behind many of its peers in this department. While SuperDraft customer support is reliable, it is certainly less convenient than at other platforms.

Deposits and withdrawals

SuperDraft customers can make deposits and withdrawals using their credit card. It accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, meaning most users should have no issues making credit card deposits. SuperDraft does not accept any other payment methods for deposits.

As for withdrawing, users can request to receive their funds via either ACH bank transfer or e-check. There is a withdrawal minimum of $10, and withdrawals can take up to eight days to process.

In all, this set of banking options is another minor downside to the SuperDraft platform. The lack of support for PayPal, PayNearMe, Play+, or other popular deposit and withdrawal methods is a drawback, as is the fact that users must use separate methods for depositing (credit card) and withdrawing (ACH or e-check.)

Game selection

There are a few ways to try SuperDraft contests. You can find a combination of traditional salary cap leagues along with less common formats. Here’s a quick overview of the game modes:

With four ways to play, SuperDraft is a fairly flexible platform. You have the option to stick with the classics, play SuperDraft’s signature multiplier format, or try your hand at super 15 or champion mode for a more casual way to play.

SuperDraft Fantasy final thoughts

SuperDraft is a relative newcomer compared to some of the more established fantasy sports platforms. Below, we’ve outlined some of our favorite features, plus a couple of things we’d like to see SuperDraft improve:

SuperDraft pros

  • Distinct multiplier mode
  • Two casual-friendly modes (champion & Super 15)
  • Wide range of entry fees

SuperDraft cons

  • Very limited banking options
  • No live chat or phone support

Overall, SuperDraft Fantasy does the important things right. It gives you a number of ways to play and a solid interface. However, an improved customer support suite and more options for depositing and withdrawing would go a long way.

SuperDraft Fantasy user reviews

It’s a good idea to consider user reviews when choosing a DFS or sports betting app. Here is what some people are saying about SuperDraft via various forums:

SuperDraft iOS reviews

SuperDraft has some satisfied user reviews on the App Store so far, though the sample size is still fairly limited. In particular, users have had good things to say about the multiplier mode; one user writes that “the multiplier format is much more interesting than salary cap.”

Users who have left negative reviews have often left comments about the withdrawal system. Remember that SuperDraft only permits deposits by credit card and withdrawals by ACH or e-check. This can be confusing and likely explains some of the bad reviews.

SuperDraft Google Play reviews

SuperDraft Fantasy already has over 100,000 downloads on Google Play, averaging positive reviews so far. As on the App Store, users in particular are pleased with the variety of game modes, with one five-star reviewer calling SuperDraft a “refreshing and new way to play daily fantasy sports.”

There have been a fair number of complaints regarding technical glitches and issues with the app functionality, the majority of which appear to have been resolved. Given that SuperDraft is still a new platform, and some minor issues are to be expected, potentially becoming rarer as it continues to grow.

SuperDraft multiplier and champion mode guide

The most distinct aspect of SuperDraft is its signature multiplier game mode. Normally, fantasy leagues assign each player a “salary” based on how many fantasy points the DFS site expects that player to score. You then have to come up with the team that makes the best use of your budget.

In multiplier leagues, there are no salaries; you can pick whichever players you want. However, SuperDraft assigns each player a multiplier that applies to that player’s points each game. Star players will have lower multipliers, while lesser-known players will have higher ones. For instance, when choosing a wide receiver for your multiplier football league, options might include D.K. Metcalf (1.5x), Cooper Kupp (1.15x), and Tyreek Hill (1x).

The multiplier element means a whole new set of players might become viable fantasy picks. Whereas salary cap leagues tend to produce lots of similarly structured teams consisting of several of the same players, multiplier leagues encourage managers to try lesser-known players with high multipliers. Otherwise, multiplier leagues work the same way as salary cap leagues, with full-size teams and the same scoring system.

For users looking for a more casual way to try out the multiplier format, SuperDraft offers champion mode. In champion leagues, you select a smaller five-man team, with one player (the team’s “champion”) receiving an additional 50% point multiplier. For customers who want to commit less time and energy into building their team, champion mode is an option.

SuperDraft salary cap and super 15 guide

SuperDraft’s salary cap mode will feel familiar to longtime DFS enthusiasts. SuperDraft assigns every player in the fantasy player pool a “salary” (e.g. $5,000) and you have to make the best team you can that comes in under the salary cap. At SuperDraft, the salary cap is $80,000, and the site prices players accordingly.

The key to salary cap contests is choosing how you want to allocate the money. Do you spend big on expensive heavy hitters and sacrifice squad depth? Or do you aim to build a more well-rounded team that risks being short on star power? Salary cap leagues are a balancing act, and they can be tricky for first-time contestants.

SuperDraft offers one other salary cap-style game mode, called super 15, once again designed for more casual play. In super 15 leagues, you have a budget of $15 to make a team from a smaller list of top players. Super 15 is essentially a pared-down version of salary cap, with fewer players and simpler numbers, making it easier to enter multiple leagues. Super 15 is also a potential option for beginners who want to get more comfortable before trying out a salary cap league.

SuperDraft DFS guide

As we outlined in the above section, there are two basic types of fantasy contests at SuperDraft, with two modes in each: multiplier contests (multiplier and champion modes) and salary cap-style contests (salary cap and super 15.)

SuperDraft offers six types of each of the four contests, which comes out to a total of 24 ways to play. Here are the six types of contests that are available at SuperDraft:

With four contests each with six types, you have some options to tailor your SuperDraft experience to your preferences.

Will there be a SuperDraft Sportsbook?

So far, SuperDraft only offers free-to-play sports betting through its free sportsbook. Customers make all wagers on the SuperDraft free sportsbook using SuperCoins, which have no real money value (though you can potentially redeem them for rewards.) Apart from the lack of real money stakes and payouts, SuperDraft’s sportsbook looks and feels like a regular sportsbook and may suit some customers who prefer a free-to-play option.

Whether SuperDraft might eventually expand its free sportsbook into a real-money option is unclear. Check back for any potential updates regarding a SuperDraft sportsbook option.
