With MO sports betting set to launch on December 1, 2025, BetRivers Sportsbook is expected to make its mark on the Show-Me State later this year.

Amendment 2 passed in November 2024 and by the end of 2025, sports betting will be live in Missouri. Among the sportsbooks expected to go live shortly after is BetRivers Sportsbook, which has already established a strong presence in other regulated states. As Missouri gears up for this long-awaited rollout, BetRivers is positioned to become a top choice for bettors across the state.

Chicago-based Rush Street Interactive owns and runs the BetRivers brand. The company has already expressed firm interest in a Missouri launch. It’s unclear, as yet, how BetRivers will pursue a Missouri sportsbook license. The state allows for up to 21 licenses: 13 partnered with casinos, 6 partnered with the state’s sports teams, and 2 online-only licenses. Historically, BetRivers has used all three avenues in different states, depending on market conditions.

While few details have emerged about Rush Street and BetRivers’ firm Missouri plan, there’s a high likelihood we’ll see a BetRivers launch as soon as Missouri sports betting goes live. On this page, we’ll cover all the need-to-know details, including likely bonuses, markets, and more for Missouri bettors.

BetRivers Missouri bonus code: Bonus & offer coming soon

BetRivers isn’t live in Missouri quite yet. However, it is available in dozens of other states, and it offers a bonus in those markets. BetRivers usually gives players a second-chance bet, though the amount can vary between $250 and $500, depending on the state. We’re hopeful the MO bonus will be the $500 one to give new players a hefty and competitive welcome offer at launch.

Current status of sports betting in Missouri

Missouri sports betting narrowly passed through the state’s legislature and became legal in November 2024. Amendment 2 kickstarted a long process of setting up the state’s sports betting framework. The Missouri Gaming Commission is already well into that process, and recent weeks saw the first license applicants in the state.

BetRivers’ parent company, Rush Street Interactive, has expressed its intent to apply for a Missouri license, but it’s unclear which avenue the operator will take. It could partner with a sports team or casino, or it could pursue one of the two online-only licenses.

BetRivers MO app—will it be different?

BetRivers Sportsbook has a dedicated app for iOS and Android devices. In the past, the app has lagged behind its competitors in terms of design and function. However, Rush Street Interactive has taken many steps in the past few years to upgrade its experience.

BetRivers has great live in-game options, including live betting, streams of popular matches, and more. The sportsbook has streamed MLB and NHL games, to name a few.

Additionally, BetRivers is renowned for its localized promotions. In any market where it operates, BetRivers is known to offer customized bet boosts and promotions for players who are fans of regional teams.

Some users still report that BetRivers could use some polish in its mobile app, but overall, it’s a solid experience. Expect the classic BetRivers mobile outing when it goes live in Missouri.

Different types of wagers you will be able to make

Sportsbooks offer a whole smorgasbord of available bet types and markets. Here are some of the most common types to expect at BetRivers MO.

Moneylines

When you place a moneyline bet, you’re wagering on a specific team to win. That’s it! Moneyline bets are simple. Note that the odds can be mismatched based on the match-up. For example, if one team is expected to trounce the other, odds on that first team may not pay well. Here’s a brief glimpse at moneyline odds.

The Blues are favored to win, which is denoted by their odds having a minus symbol in front of them. A $200 bet on the Blues would pay $100 in profit if successful. Meanwhile, a successful $100 bet on the Blackhawks would pay $178 in profit.

Spreads

In a point spread bet, the sportsbook will give the underdog team a handful of fake points while the favorite gets a disadvantage. Here’s how it looks in practice.

In this point spread, the Blues are favored to win the game. They need to beat the Blackhawks by 2 or more points for a bet on them to be successful. The Blackhawks get an extra boost of 1.5 points. They could win straight-up or lose by one point and still cover the spread to win.

Totals

Ever heard a bettor talk about the “over/under?” That’s a total bet, and it takes into account the total scores of both sides of a matchup. So, instead of picking one team to win, you’re betting on whether they will combine for over or under a total number of points. Here’s an example using NFL odds for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Minnesota Vikings:

Say you bet the Under and the final score is Chiefs 31, Vikings 10. That bet would win because the total score of 41 is below the line of 46.5.

Parlays

A parlay is sometimes called a mega bet (okay, only I call it that). It combines multiple single bets into one larger wager. Each bet within a parlay is called a “leg,” and all of the legs must be successful for the bet to win. In other words, you could have a 4-leg parlay with odds of +563, but if just one of the legs doesn’t hit, the whole bet loses.

Same-Game Parlays

Same-game parlays, also known as SGPs, combine multiple bets markets within a single game into one big bet. The idea is the same as a traditional parlay in the sense that all legs need to win for your bet to cash. BetRivers also allows the combining of an SGP and other markets from outside that game into one wager.

Player Props

Player props are bets on a specific player’s performance in a certain area of a game. They don’t necessarily connect directly to a game’s outcome. For example, you could bet on Patrick Mahomes to score 2+ passing touchdowns in a game. It doesn’t matter if the Chiefs win the game, but if Mahomes throws for two or more TDs, that bet wins.

Many states prohibit or restrict player prop bets on college athletes. As of this writing, Missouri doesn’t have any such rules.

Missouri teams and games to target with promos

Missouri has no shortage of sports teams to bet on once sportsbooks are available in the state. The Kansas City Chiefs dynasty is going strong, and sportsbooks will launch in MO partway through the NFL season. Chiefs fans will have plenty of betting fodder. The St. Louis Blues, KC Royals, and St. Louis Cardinals will be available for betting as well.

Of course, there are plenty of other teams to bet on outside of Missouri, and they’ll be available as well.
