What’s not so great
The worst part of BetAmerica Sportsbook is the fact that there isn’t an app for Apple customers. The browser-based webpage is designed well and does its job; however, being able to access the sportsbook with one click of an app would make things easier.
BetAmerica also is not allowed to offer NBA games to bet on, which is a significant issue since the NBA is a popular sport to bet, especially once football season has ended.
Golden Nugget’s owner, Tilman Fertitta, is also the owner of the NBA’s Houston Rockets. Since there could be a potential conflict of interest, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has currently prohibited all sportsbooks affiliated with Golden Nugget AC from taking bets on the NBA.
The casino’s executives are working on getting this ruling changed, though. The Golden Nugget sportsbook in Las Vegas is permitted to accept bets on the NBA, just not games involving the Rockets.
