Bally’s was recently rebranded from Twin River Worldwide Holdings and then acquired the sports betting technology provider Bet Works in a deal worth $125 million. Bally’s also struck a partnership with the Sinclair Broadcast Group to name over 20 of Fox’s regional sports networks.

Although we won’t know exactly what Bally Bets intends to roll out with its new online sportsbook, we have a good understanding of what to expect.

It’s been rumored that it will initially release in either New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana or Iowa. Once Bally Bets Sportsbook is available in one state, it will probably continue to expand into others.

Online sports wagering is more popular than ever, and many locations within the US are establishing legal markets. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Bally Bets launch in multiple areas when it officially makes its debut. This review will be updated to reflect any changes when Bally Bets is available in the US.

Bally Bets sportsbook welcome offer

It’s safe to assume the new online sportsbook will include some sort of welcome bonus for new customers who join, as every online sports betting platform offers some type of deal to help acquire new bettors.

Since Bally Bets seems like it’s launching in a state where online sports betting is already established, it will likely need to feature a welcome bonus. These are a win-win because they attract new customers to sportsbooks, and the customers get to take advantage of a the deals.

Bally Bets sportsbook features

We’re not sure exactly what Bally Bets has in mind for when its online platform goes live, but it’s probable that it provides a bonus in one of the following three ways: August 2021

Deposit-match bonus

A bonus based around your first deposit with the online sportsbook is very popular. When making your initial deposit after creating an account, you’ll receive some form of deposit match.

Online sportsbooks will usually give you a 100% match of your first deposit, up to a specified amount. While this differs based on the operator, this bonus has been available for as much as $1,000. So if you deposited $1,000 of your own money onto your account, Bally Bets would then give you an additional $1,000 in credit.

Bettors appreciate the deposit bonus because they’re able to control exactly how much they can get back in return. Bally Bets has a few options for welcoming new customers, but a deposit match could work well.

Risk-free bet

Another type of bonus is linked to your first wager with the online sportsbook. Instead of receiving a bonus based on how much you deposit, a risk-free bet gives you insurance for your initial bet.

If your first wager with the online sportsbook doesn’t win, then you’ll receive a match for however much you bet, up to a certain amount.

Just like with any bonus, how much you can receive can vary. Risk-free wagers have been available for up to $500 at some books.

If you bet $500 on your first bet and lose, the sportsbook would provide you with $500 back in your account. The bonus only applies to losing wagers. A winning bet will only give you your regular winnings.

Lots of online sportsbooks have this type of deal in place, so it’s possible Bally Bets does the same.

Free credit

Free credit is also a way to reward new customers for joining the sportsbook. While the other bonuses require you to make a deposit in order to cash in, most sportsbooks that provide free credit only ask that you make an account.

Once you do, you’ll be able to use the free credit bonus as you please. Similar to having your own funds on the sportsbook, you can browse the available markets and actually place a bet.

A no deposit bonus such as this doesn’t typically exceed more than $20 or $30, but it’s beneficial for new customers. You can utilize every part of the sportsbook and decide if you actually like it before choosing to deposit your money.

Along with a welcome bonus, we expect Bally Bets Sportsbook to deliver plenty of other promotions. The most successful online sportsbooks available in the US all include a variety of weekly and daily deals.

These promos are great for everyone because the sportsbook generates more action, while customers can cash in on favorable offers. Having some quality promos in place at the time of launch would certainly help Bally Bets grow its customer base.

Of course these deals can vary by operator, but they usually are based around the most popular sports happening at the time. Online sportsbooks will include a lot of offers for basketball during the winter months, for instance.

Promotions range from rewarding you with free credit for a certain bet, or money-back insurance on parlays of a specific size. Many sportsbooks also provide boosted odds for teams and players involved in the biggest games that day.

There’s no telling exactly what Bally Bets will feature when it launches, but you should expect to find some sort of promos listed eventually.

Bally Bets is not yet legalized as an online sportsbook, although it will soon become regulated in one or more US states. We expect for it to make its debut in either New Jersey, Colorado, Indiana or Iowa. Once it does, Bally Bets can easily continue to expand its brand.

Creating an account at Bally Bets sportsbook

Joining Bally Bets or any other online sportsbook is a simple and painless process. To start, you’ll need to input some personal information. This will probably include the following:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Home address
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • Social Security number

New users will also need to create a username and password for their account. You’ll most likely need to use this in order to log into the online sportsbook each time you want to place a bet. Bally Bets will probably make you enter a security question or two, as well.

Once you have given all of the necessary information, you’ll just need to agree to the sportsbook’s terms, along with confirming your age. The legal sports betting age differs in parts of the US; however, most states have the minimum set at 21 years old.

Registration eligibility at Bally Bets sportsbook

There are a few requirements for sports bettors who wish to use Bally Bets or any other online sports betting platform. The most important parts are that you’re at least the minimum age to legally bet on sports and that you are located in a state where the online sportsbook is available.

As mentioned, most states need you to be at least 21 to be able to bet with the online sportsbook. There are some parts of the US where you only need to be 18, though. If Bally Bets launches in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa or New Jersey first, then you must be 21 or older to use it.

The other main requirement is that you’re physically located inside of the state where the online sportsbook is available. If Bally Bets goes live in NJ first, you must be inside of the Garden State at the time of placing a wager.

The online sportsbook uses geolocation technology to see your exact positioning prior to giving you access to bet. When and if Bally Bets launches in multiple states, then you’ll be able to place wagers in any of them.

There are some specific people who aren’t permitted to use the online sportsbook because of their jobs. Anyone who can directly affect the outcome of a sporting event can’t put money down at the sportsbook. This includes those like players, coaches, trainers and referees. Others, such as key casino employees, also cannot place sports wagers with Bally Bets.

Download the Bally Bets app

Although we won’t know exactly what to expect from the online sportsbook until it goes live, it is likely that Bally Bets includes an app with its debut. Since the sportsbook is trying to expand its brand, it would be incredibly helpful to feature the convenience of an app.

We know that the operator is working with Bet.Works, which already helps power several sports betting providers in CO, IN, IA and NJ. A sports betting app will probably become available for both Android and Apple users. If that’s the case, you’ll likely find the link to download the app directly from Bally Bets’ website.

You’ll probably have access to Bally Bets through a web-based browser, too. The majority of online sportsbooks are available on a computer or through the browser on your mobile device.

Depositing and withdrawing at Bally Bets

The online sportsbook should also be equipped with several banking methods. Many of the highest-rated platforms provide their customers plenty of ways to transfer funds to and from their accounts.

Although Bally Bets probably won’t offer all of these deposit options, customers should have the choice from some of the following:

  • ACH/e-check
  • Online bank transfer
  • Credit card (Mastercard or Visa)
  • PayPal
  • Prepaid card
  • PayNearMe
  • Skrill
  • Neteller

Giving customers multiple ways to conduct banking on the sportsbook makes things convenient for everyone.

You should have the ability to withdraw your winnings in many of the same ways the online sportsbook lets you deposit. A lot of online platforms give you the option of receiving your money in a check in the mail, too.

What types of bets can you make at Bally Bets?

Another area where Bally Bets should be quite thorough is the number of bet types it offers. The online sportsbook will likely launch with a variety of ways to place a wager:

  • Moneylines
  • Parlays
  • Teasers
  • Round robins
  • Live
  • Props
  • Futures
  • Point spreads
  • Totals

For a new online sports betting app looking to get as many bettors as possible, providing a lot of betting options is crucial.

Live betting

Bally Bets must have live betting available at its online sportsbook. All of the best online options feature a wide selection of live markets every day.

With the emergence and popularity of online wagering, live betting is now one of the most popular ways to use a sportsbook. Instead of needing to get your action down before the beginning of an event, you can now bet basically whenever you please.

With live betting, the odds are changed within seconds whenever something happens in the game. Since you can access the online sportsbook right from an app on your phone, you can bet on these markets very quickly as you’re watching.

Many bettors now actually wait for games to start prior to betting. This allows them to see the flow of the game and to perhaps try the updated odds.

Almost every online book includes live betting for the common odds like moneyline, point spread and total. However, the best betting apps offer even more. Some have a library of live markets that feature game, team and player props for nearly every game.

There’s no question that we expect Bally Bets to have live offerings when its app hits the market.

What sports can you bet on at Bally Bets Sportsbook?

It’s also important for an online sportsbook to provide a quality mixture of sports to choose from. Those who download Bally Bets will likely find the majority of the following betting markets:

  • Football
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Soccer
  • MMA
  • Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Cycling
  • Golf
  • Motor racing
  • Boxing
  • Darts
  • Rugby
  • Table tennis
  • Cricket
  • Australian rules
