FanDuel Maryland promo code: $1,1000 projected bonus
In addition to the $100 FanDuel Maryland pre-launch promo, we anticipate that new users in Maryland will also be eligible to receive FanDuel Sportsbook’s standard new-user bonus, which is a “no sweat first bet” of up to $1,000. This means that if the first bet that you place with your FanDuel account loses, the sportsbook will issue a full refund in the form of bet credits, up to $1,000. There is a minimum deposit requirement of $5.
We expect this offer to be available for both FanDuel Maryland pre-launch users and users who did not sign up for the pre-launch offer. So, on the first day of online sports betting in Maryland, one user may already have $100 to bet with from the pre-launch offer, and another user may not. Both will qualify for the no sweat first bet.
Click the FanDuel Maryland promo code link to sign up. When online sports betting launches, place your first wager. If your bet loses, that’s when the refund of free bets will kick in.
Maryland sports betting launch timeline
Maryland legalized sports betting officially, back in May 2021. Since then, retail sports betting has launched in the state, so sports bettors are able to place in-person wagers at select retail locations. However, the online sports betting process has been a much longer one.
In September, the Sports Wagering Application Review Commission (SWARC) opened the application process for operators to apply for licensing in the state. They then decided to award mobile sports betting licenses on a rolling basis, setting up a pre-2023 launch.
Ten sportsbooks already submitted applications ahead of the Oct. 21 deadline. The SWARC will advance these 10 mobile license applications forward soon. A meeting on Nov. 21 will review those applications. If they are approved, it’s likely that those 10 operators will launch sometime in December 2022.
