NFL Week 7 opening odds
Week 7 best odds and betting breakdown
New Orleans Saints at Arizona Cardinals
- Spread: Saints , Cardinals
- Moneyline: Saints , Cardinals
The slate begins with a Thursday Night Football matchup between two NFC teams that need to get a move on if they hope to remain in the postseason chase. The Saints are now 2-4 after dropping a home game to the Bengals on Sunday. Andy Dalton has been starting for the injured Jameis Winston. The starter for TNF will become clearer as game day approaches. The Cardinals have dropped two in a row to fall to 2-4. The offense could get a lift this week as DeAndre Hopkins is due to return from his six-game suspension.
Atlanta Falcons at Cincinnati Bengals
- Spread: Falcons , Bengals
- Moneyline: Falcons , Bengals
As the season approached, not much was expected out of the Falcons. Now 3-3 and fresh off of an upset win over the 49ers, perceptions continue to shift. Atlanta is currently tied with the Buccaneers for the NFC South lead. They’ll pay a visit to the defending AFC champion Bengals, a team pulled to .500 with a win over the Saints. Cincinnati is tied with Baltimore atop the AFC North standings.
Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys
- Spread: Lions , Cowboys
- Moneyline: Lions , Cowboys
The Lions return from a bye week with a record of 1-4. The team is riding a three-game losing streak and suffered a shutout loss to the Patriots last time out. They’ll be on the road to take on a Cowboys team that squares off with the Eagles on Sunday night. Many were counting Dallas out in the wake of losing Dak Prescott to injury, but strong defense and an admirable job by Cooper Rush have kept them in the hunt.
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
- Spread: Colts , Titans
- Moneyline: Colts , Titans
On Sunday, Matt Ryan delivered the kind of performance that Indianapolis was hoping for when they acquired the veteran signal caller. He threw for 389 yards and three TDs, capped off with a 32-yard game-winning toss to Alec Pierce, in a 34-27 win over the Jaguars. The Titans were on a bye last week and entered on a high note. After opening up the year at 0-2 while looking listless, the team has ripped off three straight wins while markedly improving across the board.
Green Bay Packers at Washington Commanders
- Spread: Packers , Commanders
- Moneyline: Packers , Commanders
The Packers have dropped two straight to fall to 3-3 on the year. After a close loss to the Giants over in London, the team returned home and was clobbered 27-10 by the visiting Jets as 7.5-point favorites. The club is now two games behind the Vikings in the NFC North race. The Commanders pulled out a win over the Bears on Thursday night to get to 2-4. Carson Wentz suffered an injury to his throwing hand, a situation that bears monitoring in advance of the game.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers
- Spread: Buccaneers , Panthers
- Moneyline: Buccaneers , Panthers
The Buccaneers were favored by 9.5 for their trip to Pittsburgh and expected to have their way with a banged-up Steelers team. Instead, the club fell by a score of 20-18 to fall to 3-3 on the year. One of the preseason big game favorites, Tampa Bay continues to fall short of expectations while looking out of sync on offense. They have a chance to get it together this week when they square off with the Panthers, a 1-5 club that’s riding a three-game losing streak.
New York Giants at Jacksonville Jaguars
- Spread: Giants , Jaguars
- Moneyline: Giants , Jaguars
The red hot Giants have now won three in a row to run the record to 5-1. On Sunday, it was a come-from-behind win over the visiting Ravens. It was a complete effort as the defense gave Lamar Jackson and company a tough time in the second half, while Danel Jones and the offense punched it in twice in the fourth quarter. They’ll be visiting a Jaguars team that has dropped three in a row since a convincing win over the Chargers in Week 3.
Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens
- Spread: Browns , Ravens
- Moneyline: Browns , Ravens
The Browns were home favorites over the Patriots on Sunday, but they certainly didn’t play that way. New England cruised to a 38-15 victory while holding the previously vaunted Cleveland run game to 70 total rushing yards. They’ll take on a Ravens team that is looking for a bounceback of their own. Now 3-3, all three of the team’s defeats have come after failing to seal the deal while holding late leads.
New York Jets at Denver Broncos
- Spread: Jets , Broncos
- Moneyline: Jets , Broncos
Are the Jets for real? After a convincing road win over the Packers lifted the team to 4-2, that question is no longer of the off-the-wall variety. New York has won three in a row after opening the year at 1-2 with the last two victories coming by double digits. Denver is 2-3 as they get set for a date with the Chargers on Monday night. Following the offseason acquisition of Russell Wilson, the team was generating a ton of buzz. To date, the Broncos have yet to live up to expectations.
Houston Texans at Las Vegas Raiders
- Spread: Texans , Raiders
- Moneyline: Texans , Raiders
It’s a meeting of two teams that had Week 6 off. The Texans entered their bye with a surprising upset victory over the Jaguars. At 1-3-1, Houston hasn’t been the pushover that many were expecting them to be, but the club remains the favorite to land the top pick at the next NFL Draft. The Raiders lost a 1-point decision to the Chiefs in advance of their break. Now 1-4, Las Vegas needs to quickly turn it around if they have any hope of a return trip to the postseason.
Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Chargers
- Spread: Seahawks , Chargers
- Moneyline: Seahawks , Chargers
The Seahawks evened the record up at 3-3 with a home win over the Cardinals. Geno Smith has been off to a fantastic start under center, but he and the rest of the offense were mostly held in check in Sunday’s victory. Seattle travels to take on a Chargers team that will play host to the Broncos on Monday night. Justin Herbert is living up to his billing as a potential MVP candidate, but the 3-2 team as a whole hasn’t been as solid as anticipated.
Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers
- Spread: Chiefs . 49ers
- Moneyline: Chiefs ,
The Chiefs held a 20-17 lead over the Bills in the fourth quarter. Josh Allen hooked up with Dawson Knox for the go ahead score, and Patrick Mahomes threw an interception on the ensuing possession to cement a 24-20 defeat. Now 4-2, Kansas City remains in first place in the AFC West. They’ll be on the road to take on a 49ers team that’s also looking to bounce back. San Francisco enters at 3-3 following Sunday’s 14-point loss to the Falcons.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins
- Spread: Steelers , Dolphins
- Moneyline: Steelers , Dolphins
After a blowout loss to the Bills, it was looking like a lost season for the Steelers was underway. The club proceeded to rebound with perhaps the season’s biggest upset as they pulled out a 20-18 home win over the Buccaneers. The victory snapped a four-game skid, but injury concerns continue to mount as Kenny Pickett was forced to leave the game. Since opening the year at 3-0, the Dolphins have dropped three in a row. Miami has been working through its own injuries, but Tua Tagovailoa could make his return in Week 7.
Chicago Bears at New England Patriots
- Spread: Bears , Patriots
- Moneyline: Bears , Patriots
The week concludes with a meeting of two clubs that are headed in opposite directions. The Bears have lost three in a row to fall to 2-4. The defense has been doing its part and keeping them in games, but the struggles continue for Justin Fields and the rest of the offense. The Patriots have been without Mac Jones, but Bailey Zappe has done a solid job in his place, while the defense continues to improve. Over a two-game winning streak, New England has outscored the Lions and Browns by a combined score of 67-15.
