BetMGM Sportsbook preview: New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are 3.5-point favorites in this AFC East divisional matchup. The Dolphins are a favorite on the moneyline at -185, and the over/under is 46.5. Here’s what we know heading into this game:

The Dolphins built up their offense this offseason with additions like Tyreek Hill, Chase Edmonds and Terron Armstead. Those acquisitions, along with second-year standout Jaylen Waddle, should give quarterback Tua Tagovailoa more options. Having Waddle and Hill, two of the fastest players in the league, could be challenging for a Patriots secondary that lost J.C. Jackson this offseason. The Patriots will be looking to continue to build around the growth of Mac Jones, who showed moments of brilliance last season and got another weapon this offseason in DeVante Parker. Jones took the team to the postseason last year for the first time since Tom Brady left though a less talented Dolphins team swept the Patriots last season, Miami failed to make the playoffs.

This game will mark Mike McDaniel’s first as head coach of the Dolphins, and he’ll certainly face a test against Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
