FanDuel Sportsbook preview of NFL Week 1 Thursday Night Football — Los Angeles Rams vs. Buffalo Bills
FanDuel Sportsbook lists Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen as its favorite to win the NFL MVP award this season, and Allen could start making his case for that honor by leading the Bills to a season-opening win on the road Thursday night. FanDuel has Buffalo as a 2.5-point road favorite on the spread, with a total of 52 for the game.
On the moneyline, the Bills are -140 favorites. Whether they will spoil the party for the Super Bowl LVI champions — who will receive their rings prior to the game — will likely depend on their ability to protect Allen and take advantage of opportunities.
The Buffalo offensive line will have its hands full facing players like defensive end Aaron Donald. While Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford led his team to a Super Bowl victory in this stadium in February, he is dealing with a lingering elbow issue that could limit his effectiveness in the game. The Rams still plan to start him, however, and his performance compared to Allen’s will be one aspect of this game worth watching on Sept. 8.
