The wait for the first full Saturday of the 2022 college football season is essentially over, as many of the nation’s teams get their campaigns underway on Sept. 3. DraftKings is offering a three-part bonus that new customers can take advantage of when placing their college football bets to kick off the season.

Preview of Week 1 CFB games on DraftKings
Sept. 3 might be just the first full Saturday of the season, but it doesn’t lack for must-see matchups. Three nonconference games feature teams that expect to contend for spots in the 2023 College Football Playoff.
Utah vs. Florida
New Gators head coach Billy Napier leads his team into The Swamp for the first time on Saturday against the team that won the Pac-12 Conference in 2021, Utah. Despite the Utes coming into this game at No. 7 in the polls, DraftKings has them as just a three-point favorite in this contest on the spread.
Utah is a road team facing a humid weather forecast but also a two-hour time change in this contest. However, with pieces from last year’s squad back in the fold like quarterback Cameron Rising and five of his top six receivers from 2021, the Utes could weather those challenges. If Rising can perform like he did last season, when he completed nearly 64% of his pass attempts and threw four touchdowns for every interception, Utah should come out of this one with the win.
Notre Dame vs. Ohio State
Former Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles has taken over leading the defense for Ohio State after a 2021 season that saw the Buckeyes struggle on that side of the ball. All eyes will be on how Ohio State performs defensively against Notre Dame’s read-option attack in this game.
DraftKings has the Buckeyes as 17.5-point favorites in this contest, counting on the performances of Ohio State’s veteran cornerbacks Cameron Brown and Denzel Burke to contain the Fighting Irish offense. The total for the game sits at 59 points, so that’s in line with that expectation, as well.
Oregon vs. Georgia
The spread on this game is a similar 17 points, and, in another aspect similar to the Florida-Utah game, it features a head coaching debut. Dan Lanning is the new head coach for Oregon and also the former defensive coordinator for Georgia. Thus, it’s an interesting debut for Lanning to face his old team.
While Georgia lost 15 players to the NFL since it won its national title last season, the Bulldogs still have a lot of talent like quarterback Stetson Bennett and defensive lineman Jalen Carter on the roster. To counteract that, however, Lanning brings with him Auburn transfer quarterback Bo Nix to try to get what would be an impressive debut victory.
DraftKings doesn’t like Lanning to get that win, however, as it lists the Bulldogs as a 17-point home favorite.
