Caesars Sportsbook Kansas launch
SB 84, the Kansas sports betting bill, officially became law in Kansas on July 1, 2022. The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission then approved the draft regulations for launch on Aug. 12. Ten days later, on Aug. 22, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt approved the Kansas Lottery’s regulations. Per the legislation, the state will tax retail and online sportsbooks at a rate of 10%, and bettors can wager on both professional and college sports.
Kansas contracted with the four commercial casinos in the state to launch online and retail sports betting. In addition to operating retail sportsbooks, each casino can partner with up to three online sportsbooks. These are the four casinos: Kansas Star Casino, Boot Hill Casino & Resort, Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway and Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel.
Caesars Sportsbook’s casino partner is Kansas Crossing Casino & Hotel, located in Pittsburg, Kansas.
