How To Build A Super Bowl 58 Same-Game Parlay

The San Francisco 49ers had an extra week of rest thanks to a 12-5 record in the regular season putting them atop the NFC. They head into the divisional round as the clear favorites to advance to the Super Bowl from the NFC and are currently the favorites to lift the Lombardi Trophy (). The first step for the 49ers, though, is taking on a Green Bay Packers team that upset the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round.

However, the 49ers are large favorites () and might be one of the most complete teams in the NFL. The offense averaged 28.9 points per game in the regular season, and the defense allowed just 17.5 points per game. You can watch the game on Saturday at 8:15 p.m. ET on Fox.

Potential key missing players

Dre Greenlaw

Paired with Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw has been one half of the league’s best linebacking duo for a few years now. The former fifth-round pick racked up 120 tackles in his fifth season in the NFL and now has over 240 tackles in his last two seasons. He’s excellent against the run, handy in pass coverage, and is an all-around leader on the 49ers defense.

Greenlaw is on the 49ers’ injury report with an Achilles injury and did not practice on Tuesday. The Packers, who rushed for 143 yards against the Cowboys in the wild card round, could have a little more success rushing the ball versus the 49ers if they’re without Greenlaw, who has five tackles for losses in 2023.

Clelin Ferrell

After a tough start to his career with the Las Vegas Raiders, Ferrell settled into life with the San Francisco 49ers and looked to be the next reclamation project on the defensive line. His impact waned once the team traded for Chase Young, but Ferrell still started all 17 regular season games and earned a career-high 31 pressures in 2023, per PFF.

The 49ers have excellent depth at edge, and that’s partly why their defensive line is so successful, but Ferrell has still been a key contributor this season, especially as a pass-rusher. He missed practice on Tuesday with a knee issue and could potentially be out for a few weeks, putting his postseason in jeopardy.

Logan Ryan

Logan Ryan was signed off the street toward the end of the 2023 regular season after spending most of the 2022 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He’s stepped in for three games this season and performed well in place of some injuries to the secondary. However, Ryan has a groin injury and could be inactive for Saturday’s game. That would be a blow to a 49ers defense that’s already facing a few injuries in the secondary, hence Ryan’s signing.
