Through the first two games of the NFL season, the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2 after scoring three points in Week 1. In Week 2, they scored 24 but surrendered 27 to the Baltimore Ravens. To make matters worse, the Bengals could be without quarterback Joe Burrow, who “aggravated” his calf injury from the offseason, which kept him out of practice and the entire preseason.
Below, we’ll review how their odds have shifted since the preseason and where they’re now and look at upcoming matchups. Here is the full odds for the next Super Bowl winner:
Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl Odds Shift
Considered one of the better offenses in the NFL, the Bengals were around +1000 before the season began to win the Super Bowl. These were the fifth-best odds, trailing the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills in the AFC. Now, after back-to-back losses against two division rivals, including one home game, the Bengals odds have fallen.
Burrow not only tweaked his calf injury, but in a losing effort to the Ravens, he completed 65.9% of his passes (27 of 41) for 222 yards (5.4 yards per attempt), two touchdowns, and one interception.
Through two weeks, Burrow completes 56.9% of his passes for 304 yards (4.2 yards per attempt), two touchdowns, and one interception. Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has ten receptions on 17 targets for 70 yards and no touchdowns.
As of this writing, the Bengals will take on four teams ahead of them in the odds, including the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs.
