Chiefs first downs, 2022-23

Based on several metrics, the Chiefs boast the league’s best offense for this season, so it’s not exactly a surprise that the club has advanced to the big game. Success with moving the ball down the field begins with getting a first down. Here’s how Kansas City and its opponents fared on that front during the regular season.

During the postseason, the numbers have been very similar. Kansas City has generated an average of 23 first downs through two games and allowed 19 for a total average of 42 per contest.

Eagles first downs, 2022-23

The Eagles also lay claim to one of the league’s most productive offensive units. Here’s what the team and its opponents generated on the first down metric during the season.
