Super Bowl preview: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The AFC champion Chiefs and the NFC champion Eagles meet in Super Bowl 57 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday in Glendale, Arizona. Both teams ended the regular season as top seeds in their respective conferences.
The Eagles enter this game having won both their playoff games by wide margins, and are seeking the franchise’s first Super Bowl title since 2018. Quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 22 touchdowns during the regular season and ran for another 13.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, won the AFC championship with a last-second field goal in a competitive game with the Cincinnati Bengals. Kansas City lost in Super Bowl 55 two years ago, but won it all the year prior in a game where current Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the MVP.
Oddsmakers are giving a slight edge to the Eagles so far. Philadelphia enters this Super Bowl as a 1.5-point favorite at most sportsbooks. The moneyline varies, but the point total has hovered somewhere around 50 points through early wagering. Sportsbooks also offer odds on point totals by quarter and half, as well as player props, game props and more.
Ohio sports betting details
Legal sports betting officially launched in Ohio on Jan. 1, 2023. The process began when HB 29, a bill to legalize and regulate sports betting, passed both houses of the Legislature in 2021. Gov. Mike DeWine then signed the bill into law, and by the time 2023 came around, the Ohio Casino Control Commission had approved multiple sportsbooks to operate in the state.
